Download ModHider 26.2 for Fabric

Two builds, both free, both a single jar. ModHider 26.2 for Fabric is the current release and the one that gets new work; the classic Fabric 1.21.11 build is kept alive for players who have not moved yet. Neither one asks for an account, a key or an email address.

Builds

Every ModHider 26.2 Fabric build in one place

The 26.2 jar is first because it is the one almost everyone wants. Pick the classic build only if you are pinned to Minecraft 1.21.x.

ModHider 26.2 for Fabric — Latest Release

The ModHider 26.2 Fabric build is the one we develop against. Every module is ported to Minecraft Fabric 26.2, the handshake preview and per-server profiles are new here, and it is still a single jar with no dependency beyond Fabric Loader. Profiles from the classic build import untouched.

ModHider 1.21.11 — Classic Build

The previous stable line for players still on Minecraft 1.21.x. It carries the same feature set and the same config format, and it receives fixes only, so new work lands on the 26.2 build first. Requires Fabric Loader 0.16 or newer.

Installing the ModHider 26.2 Fabric jar

Identical for both builds apart from which Minecraft version you point Fabric at.

1

Install Fabric Loader

Run the official Fabric installer for Minecraft 26.2 (or 1.21.11 for the classic build) and pick Fabric Loader 0.16 or newer. Launch the game once so the profile and the mods folder exist.

2

Grab the jar

Download ModHider-26.2.jar (or ModHider-1.21.11.jar for the classic build). One file, no companion mod, no config pack.

3

Drop it in the mods folder

Move the jar into .minecraft/mods/. If you are updating, delete the older ModHider jar first so two builds never load at once.

4

Check the handshake preview

Start Minecraft on the Fabric 26.2 profile, open ModHider from the mod list, and read the handshake preview. It shows the brand string, the channels and the mod entries a server would receive, with the hidden ones blacked out.

Before you join a server

Open the handshake preview and read it. It shows the brand string, the registered channels and the mod entries a server would receive, with hidden mods blacked out. If something you expected to be hidden is still listed, you will see it there instead of finding out afterwards.

Remember what this does and does not cover: ModHider hides your mod list, not what your mods do. Anti-cheat that watches behaviour is unaffected.

Inside the jar

What you are actually downloading

A small Fabric mod and nothing else. It is worth knowing what is in it, because a mod that claims to protect your privacy is exactly the kind of thing you should be suspicious of.

One jar, no payload

The jar holds the mod classes, a handful of mixins and a default config. There is no installer, no bundled launcher, no second download and nothing that writes outside your Minecraft directory.

No network code

The mod opens no connection of its own. No update check, no licence check, no telemetry. Everything it does happens between your client and the server you chose to join.

Config in plain text

Your visibility list, your per-server profiles and the probe log are plain files in your config folder. Open them, read them, edit them or delete them. Nothing is obfuscated and nothing is hidden from you.

Troubleshooting

If something looks wrong after installing

Four situations account for almost every report, and all four show up in the handshake preview before they show up on a server.

The game will not start

Almost always two jars in the mods folder at once. Delete the older one. Failing that, check that Fabric Loader is 0.16 or newer and that the profile you launched matches the jar you installed.

A server will not let you in

Some networks require a specific mod to be declared before they accept a connection. Set that one mod to reported for that address and leave everything else hidden. Per-server profiles exist for exactly this case.

A mod stopped working online

If a mod needs to talk to the server, blocking its channel will break it. The channel filter warns you when that is the case. Allow the channel and keep the mod list entry hidden.

You were spotted anyway

Then it was not the mod list. Behavioural detection reads what you do, not what you declare, and no hider mod touches that. Read the honest limits before you assume something is broken.

Still fine? Then download ModHider 26.2 for Fabric and you are done — the defaults cover everything on this page.

Requirements

What you need to run it

Fabric Loader 0.16+

Installed through the official Fabric installer for Minecraft 26.2, or 1.21.11 for the classic build. Nothing else is required.

Java 21 or newer

Whatever your launcher already ships for modern Minecraft is fine. ModHider adds no separate runtime.

No dependencies

No Fabric API requirement, no companion mod, no config pack. If Fabric Loader starts, ModHider loads.

Every earlier build of ModHider 26.2 for Fabric is listed in the release archive, and the full module list lives on the features page.
